1. What is this program?
The Virtual Math Bee is a competitive and engaging event designed to challenge students and build strong foundational skills in arithmetic, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. The program is split into two divisions, with content tailored to be age-appropriate and curriculum-aligned:
- Division 1: Grades K–2
- Division 2: Grades 3–5
The competition uses a fast-paced, timed format (with some rounds allowing only 3–5 seconds per question in the upper division), encouraging quick thinking and mastery of essential mathematical facts.
2. Why is this free?
It’s free because we’re a student-led, nonprofit effort focused on access and equity—we want every family to explore fun STEM-based events.
3. What is this organization?
Lead India Foundation for Education (LIFE) is a 501(c) non-profit organization that provides educational resources and mentorship to change lives through education.
4. Who is presenting?
The workshop is led by a high school junior pursuing a STEM track who enjoys sharing her passion for Math with elementary school kids. She tutors 5th-grade students from low-income families as part of a weekly Saturday Math Program at a local elementary school.
