Talented and Gifted
A Gifted and Talented student means a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to the others of the same age, experience, or environment. The child or youth must also show a high-performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area, show a capacity for leadership, or excel in a certain academic field.

If you find your child to be gifted or talented or both, you may be wondering on how to fill the application process. The schools will start handing out applications in October. It is best to continue to work with school administrators on submitting applications.
If your child is a transfer student to a new school and was currently in a TAG program, two things may happen. If the student has qualifying scores AND the assessment was completed within 2 years, the TAG Screening and Placement Committee may accept those as automatically qualifying for our TAG program at Sommer depending on the testing measures. If there are no qualifying scores, one qualifying score, old qualifying scores, or assessments aren’t common for GT, then the student will be retested. The student must have qualifying scores in order to be identified for needing TAG services.

Critical thinking is an important part of TAG that your child should practice on. Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. This may seem like a very complicated definition, but there are many resources that your child can use to improve their critical thinking.

Parinama Academy’s proprietary belt system helps kids prepare in-person and/or virtual for Talented And Gifted tests in January.
Some kids have been preparing since June and some joined us last month. We have options to prepare private or in group settings and in 3-month timeframe and a boot camp during winter break
These ISD programs target high-achieving kids (academically) by identifying and grooming them for success early on.
Most Schools will send out forms for testing by October, and tests will be conducted in January.
Talk to your school TAG teacher to get additional information on specific dates.
Our TAG prep program is selective- offered to prepare kids who have TAG potential to excel and ace the TAG tests.
We will run individual private and small group programs (up to 4 kids per batch) virtual and in-person for the next four months.
We will have minimal slots for October.
To be tested for TAG your kid must pass our TAG assessment.
Register for your kid’s evaluation at https://calendly.com/parinama/
We recommend parents consider starting prep as early as possible.
If you want to save tuition fees, you should delay working with us or any other professional education services company.
We offer boot camps during thanksgiving and in December winter break too.
Do not forget if the child missed making the cut off the child has to wait two years to get retested.
